The Shawn Owens Project is a small Jazz group based out of Southern Utah that is referred to affectionately by it's followers as a 2 person Trio. This label has come to be, not because of common core math, but rather due to the fact that the group is most often seen performing as a 2 piece. Piano player Christian Bohnenstengel due to his exceptional talent plays the bass line on the keys with his left hand and the lead on keys with his right hand so well that most people never realize a bass player is absent until they actually see the group. Shawn Owens masterfully covers the drums with musicality and tastefulness that serves the songs exquisitely. The fun, energetic vibe from Shawn and Christian is truly contagious and the audience finds themselves having a great time on the musical journey the group provides.
